Shawna & I are forming a new Pokeeno group to play once a month...
"Pokeeno" is a slang term for the game Poker Keeno.
It's like a party every time!

Each person brings a wrapped gift (usually valued at $15) for the theme that month (for example..December Pokeeno would be a Christmas/Wintery Gift)

The goal is to win a gift or gifts by playing pokeeno.

It is, essentially, a modified version of bingo. Each player gets one of twelve 6-by-9-inch cardstock boards. A five-by-five grid of playing cards is printed on each board. Each person takes turn dealing by calling out cards one by one, & players mark off called cards on their boards using the included mini poker chips.


(no money is involved)...You only play for the gifts people bring...

The players in this group will take turns hosting the pokeeno party and everyone brings a snack-type food or dessert. Ages can range from 15 to 85.

I used to work with a lady who loved Pokeno. She played using pennies as chips --- the winner got everyone's pennies.

It's a fun game --- goes great with a glass of wine, BTW.

The normal pokeeno game has 12 playing cards...but the group I was in had two sets...

At one point, we played with 20 people, and the night was very fun. We laughed so hard...some may have peed in their pants!

So there is plenty of room and I know we'll have a blast!

I'm going to set up our first game for Friday, Jan 20tht at 6:30 at my house.

You can't tell anyone what your gift is...
