As a teen, I hope the show is a hit. I know that alot of teens out there need to 'vent' and talk to their peers...what better place than here?

as a parent and a pcom member for over a year... I have seen what goes on in here and how people act... It ain't gonna happen. Pcom is blocked from her computer.
just not gonna happen
and as an adult if this bored starts to get flooded by teens I for one will be super annoyed and would rethink renewing my membership
isn't that what facebook and myspace is for...just sayin

Obviously you have a different idea of what pcom is about. For the record, paulding.com - even before the PCOM4Teens show and forum - was for everyone kind of like the local newspaper was for everyone.
While there is one forum that is not appropriate for those under 18, that forum is not even visible to those with the teen membership.
Instead - and I can't believe this comes as a surprise to you - a community is made up of a whole host of people with diversity being the rule rather than the distinction.
One of my key goals is to create a community where everyone can come and share and interact. Just as you probably don't read the comic section in the Sunday newspaper and I give it a pretty good chance that you don't read other sections that are not of interest ... that doesn't mean that as the creator of this commuinity, I should eliminate those sections or tell others they shouldn't want to participate.
Instead, I'm about trying to get everyone to participate ... to have something of the nature of a common experience ... as it is the commonality of one's experience - the shared nature of it - that is the essence of community.

pubby I completely understand where you are coming from... as a Parent I don't want my kid on here just because of how some peoples act/actions on here.... The is my choice though.
I am sorry but that is how I feel... but I know everyone doesn't fill that way
it is just my opinion and mine alone... I still love pcom.... 95% of the poeople I have met are awesome people... but that 5% is WACKED OUT OF THEIR STINKIN MIND

only 5%?
Dogs may not be our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.
A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
The more I see of humans, the more I admire dogs.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
The dog is a gentleman, I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.

Sadie:
The teens will have a separate forum with specific sub-forums that the adults here are not allowed even so much as access to see the topics. Parents can see the main Pcom4teens forum and may reply but are not allowed to start topics.
I do know that pcom is a safer location that the national sites and I would bet that most of the folks here - even those you say are wacked out and weird - are much less a danger to any our children.

Chris is excellent! he will settle down with the swaying, we are all nervous at first, at least he didn't look like a deer caught in the headlights.
I was genuinely impressed with both of them.
