I didn't ask for help.. He did it himself... Reid bumped the end of the year grade from a 69 to a 70.... and then he told us after it was done. wink.gif

Not too much I could do then.. So don't think 100% of the players earned that 70! lol! I know of quite a few "bumps" it's just one of the many extra 'perks' of being an EP Player, I am told. wink.gif It was not even a core grade..

I do, however, wish I would have went to the BOE - but again .........hind sight is 20/20!

Back to the previous question asked about 5 times.. Does XXX only have to sit out for 1 game for hitting another team's player? Is that the final punishment or are they waiting for a final ruling from GHSAA?

Yep, that's what I gathered (and witnessed) as well ... there was LOTS of that going on ...

It never matters who start what -- it only matters WHO THE REF SAW!!! and unfortunately, the ref didn't see the Astros player first -- he saw our player.

I was only going by what the player's mom said on a public forum.."Xxxxx was taken out of next weeks game for hitting a player" It kinda worried me that she then stated "I can't believe he held it as long as he did" There's a right an wrong way to handle a situation on the field no matter what is going on..... There are multiple refs, coaches.. and better yet.. There's always the next play.... wink.gif While no one is perfect, especially teenagers with testosterone - I don't know think I would have been using that justification....

My son has had his finger broke intentionally by another player in a pile.. (I HATE PILES!!).. so I know there are players that play dirty...but I would never condone any blatant actions on the field.

I am so very proud of what our Raiders have accomplished over the last few years and people can say what they want, but Coach Reid is obviously a very good coach and knows what he is doing with these kids!!!

Sometimes the best coaches are not necessarily the "most liked" coaches. They are not there for a "popularity contest", they are there to coach and as most things in life, the ultimate goal they work for is succeeding and winning.

Sorry, I was at the game standing on the sideline and it happened right in front of me, 20 feet away. It was clear and blatant. The whole visiters sideline saw it. The Douglass coaches went bezerk. I also spoke to his dad after the game.

Now, I'm certain there was alot more going on prior to our player punching him. The refs just saw the last play. I certainly hope that he will not have to sit out the Rome game. The Douglass game was just a scrimmage. game didn't count, niether should anything that happened during the game. After all, the yards and TD's gained by the RB's don't go towards their official stats for the season. Niether should any incidents that occured.

Nothing wrong playing aggressive, and with emotion. But he needs to control that when the games start counting, cause we need him on the field leading our OL.

Same game and no punches thrown. I talked to his dad also.

The conditions outlined in the Raider football handout at the very beginning of the summer program stats "if player gets caught doing illegal drugs he will be kicked off the team". SOMEbody wants to blame the coaches for this happening to there kid. I just don't get it. If EP Coaches were only concerned about winning, this player would certainly been given another chance... but that is not what happen. He was kicked off for the year. So we parents can say anything about anybody to play the blame game... but the truth comes out and u look silly.

I'm lost .... did I miss a post somewhere? unsure.gif
