okay, I did hear that this will be Reid's last season!

THERE IT IS! I KNEW IT WAS COMING!!!
Okay, hopefully I won't get completely blasted on this one .... but .....
I understand Coach Reid is a very disciplined coach and there are people that have their problems with him.... however, I can only speak on my personal interactions and dealings with him.... look what he has done with our football program!!!! When I first moved to Paulding County, EPHS couldn't win a game! That cannon rarely went off and the games were certainly not packed. Yes, there was school spirit, but nothing compared to what it is now! Now they are one of the top in the state. Both of my kids have tremendously improved their football skills since playing under Coach Reid and every other coach on the team -- which is really the only thing I'm concerned about so that they can (hopefully) take what they learn from great coaching on with them to college. Yes, Coach Reid is extremely STRICT, disciplined, hard, and very intense ..... but that's football! Maybe I'm used to it because that's exactly how my husband coached my boys since they were 5? He was definitely an intense coach -- perhaps even too intense ... but we won 5 super bowl championships and kids he coached back then still call him and invite him to games now.
I'm not bashing anyone for having their opinion of Coach Reid. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have no idea of the situation that occurred to make you feel that way.
I can only say that I don't think my kids could get better coaching elsewhere. We have an extremely dedicated and knowledgeable group of coaches at EPHS and I couldn't be happier with what my kids have learned from them. I want my boys to be disciplined, confident, knowledgeable and intense out there on that field!
okay, stepping off soapbox now.... sorry.
