We're introducing a new kind of banner called the button banner. This banner is designed to supplement regular banners with a smaller, more frequent presentation in the space immediately next to the regular full graphic banner. These banners will typically be TEXT oriented with limited graphics but running two-to-one for the regular banners, they provide those who want to keep their name in front of the pcom public a way to do so at the lowest possible cost.

Regular banner advertisers will also like what is happening as well.

What we've done is revise the advertising bar that contains the ad banners and we will be putting it in more places. Soon, the ad bar will begin appearing in between posts automatically. I.e. when a topic grows to 7 posts, a banner bar (two buttons and the leaderboard) will show ... and it will show again after the 30th reply. It will also show on the second page and third page of the most active topics.

While it won't insert banner bars after the first three pages of a topic; this new ad bar will increase the number of regular banner shares by about 40 percent (from 5.5 million a month to probably about 7.5 to 8 million banner views per month) And since two Pcom buttons run for every leaderboard banner; we're predicting over 14 million buttons will appear every month.

To remind you of how shares work, if there are ten advertisers sharing 14 million banners - we always give everyone the most bang for the buck - each will get 1.4 million button banners for $40 (open rate) or for $33.33 on contract. ($100 up front and commitment for $100 each quarter.) That is less than three cents a thousand!

These button ads are available only on contract ($100 initial payment) and will begin as soon as we have 7 folks sign up and produced. (see details below)

If you want to see what they look like inserted in a topic, you can. You will need to go to the bottom of the page (any page) and look under the bottom-most banner. On your left there is a drop-down box that probably has IPB PRO selected as your skin. Instead, select the IPB 2.2.0 skin (light blue) which is a test skin. I'll be setting that skin invisible, BTW, once we're running this new LOW COST option.

NOTE: We encourage our regular banner advertisers can also select these buttons to hype their current campaigns!
