Sunday Lunch Already Got It Done

Got a new crock pot & decided to try it out. Fixed a beef stew for lunch after church, & probably dinner too if I can keep my youngest from eating the whole thing.
Use the Publix Beef Stew mix & the recipe on the back. The only thing I change is that the recipe calls for 3 cups of water: I use 2 cups of water & add a can of French Onion Soup. And I like fresh potatos & fresh onions too. The frozen stew veggies are OK, but if you've got any fresh veggies, use 'em, of course.
The crock pot cooked on high for about 2 hours before I let it cook on warm for another 2 hours. Just now put it in the frig. After being in the frig for about 10 hours, that stew will be yummy with some fresh corn muffins.

YUM...I'm getting ready to put scalloped ham and potatoes in my crockpot.

Sugar in cornbread is an abomination. Much of what is wrong with the world today can be traced to the first time someone put *sugar* in *cornbread*.
I will pray for YOU.
I will pray for YOU.
Abomination? Oh, heck no! The reason we have so many problems in the world today is that people don't use enough black pepper on their 'mater sammiches.
