This is for the Paulding County oldies.

How many remember when a group of guys ran into the Ford place leaving the old Dairy Queen and totalled out a bunch of cars back in the 70's??? I am always reminded of that when I pass there. And FYI---one of them wound up being my high school sweetheart after that!!!

The Dairy Queen was where the old Greystone building was that is now another
credit union. The old store Riteway across the road was Denton's and that was the
place to hang out on the weekends. Drove from dq to Tasty Freeze and lets not forget
the swimming pool to many times. TBird and I were best friends in school and still are.
I'm really glad those roads to and from can't talk.

They pulled out from what was the Dairy Queen (old Greystone), kicked it and totalled a bunch of cars!!!
We might say that they had a little too much alcohol that night???? ph34r.gif
But back then---the sheriff and the city police just took you home or called your parents---cause everybody knew each other.

Those were the days!!!!!

That's funny! It reminds me of my high school days. We had The Burger Chief up in Canton, Georgia that was a mile or less to the business section of the Town of Canton. The first time my youngest sister got to take our family car out, my dad set the odometer without her knowing it. She put 86 miles on it circling the Burger Chief and the town in one night. One time, the local police started making the teenagers not stand around at the Burger Chief, so we got up a caravan that drove around the town and The Burger Chief that blocked all the local traffic for hours. The group all bought those small milk cartons and would toast the police as we drove by to let them know we were all a wholesome group. biggrin.gif

When the police stopped us from hanging out in the parking lot at Dentons
and the DQ, the DQ went out of business. Guess we were good for something after all.

I had no idea that's what it was.
I fantasize about my dogs having jobs. I pretend that both of them are window cleaners and their kennel is their first starter home. I think the bigger dog is trying to bump off the smaller dog so he can have the kennel to himself. I know I have a problem, but don't animals have to earn a living too?

Dogs may not be our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.

A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.

The more I see of humans, the more I admire dogs.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

The dog is a gentleman, I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.

Sorry, guys. Directions to this building is confusing because of the changing road names and signage.

From the Historic Paulding Courthouse intersection in Dallas, going east on East Memorial, the building is in what I would call a fork in the road at the bottom of the hill. At that point, East Memorial continues when you turn to the left at the fork of the road. That road is Hwy. 381 and eventually becomes Dallas Acworth Highway which eventually turns into Highway 92 at Cedarcrest.

From the Historic Paulding Courthouse, going east on East Memorial, if you stay to the right at the fork, at that point it becomes Merchants Drive (although I don't think there are signs that tell you that). That road eventually becomes Atlanta Highway.

I've give you $100,000 for it, and I want to make it into a roller derby ring. Sorry that's all I can scrounge up for now... I'll call you the ecomony is back on track.

I remember the crash too. We rode through the Dallas Cemetery too, The old wood yard was our hang out.
